Linda Sheehan Named Board Member of the Florida Chapter for the American Fence Association

Trident Enterprises International is proud to announce that CEO Linda Sheehan has been appointed as a board member of the Florida Chapter for the American Fence Association (AFA). This well-regarded role underscores her commitment to an industry where her parents laid the foundation, and she now continues the family legacy.

"I've been around the fencing industry my entire life, starting from when my parents founded our company,” said Sheehan. “My involvement at the chapter level of the AFA is crucial because it allows me to directly impact the future of our industry, ensuring my company stays at the forefront of developments and maintains the highest standards. It's also an opportunity to support and mentor the next generation of fencing professionals, particularly women who are looking to make their mark in this field. I really like the possibilities of that!"

Sheehan was named CEO on her father's 82nd birthday, March 2, 2021. He passed away a few months later.

While she may not have extensive hands-on experience in the fencing industry, her business experience, her MBA, and her passion have equipped her with the skills necessary to lead Trident effectively. She brings valuable expertise in business management, applying her knowledge to drive the company's success and uphold the values instilled by her parents.

"I have enjoyed seeing the fencing business change and grow, particularly the growth of it within the pet containment market. Through our brand, Easy Pet Fence, we have had the opportunity to give back to pet rescue organizations in different areas of the nation, complementing the support we provide to the local shelters in our headquarters in Waynesboro, Penn. Since April, we have teamed with an influencer and animal activist, a dog rescue, and a cat rescue to provide them with dog parks and catios, which has been incredibly rewarding."

Since 1962, the AFA has grown to represent over 1,400 member companies across the United States and beyond. The AFA provides resources for the latest developments, tools, materials, standards, and trends in the fencing industry, ensuring its members have a competitive edge. It also hosts FenceTech, which takes place in February 2025.
