    Perennial Gardening Month

Although more expensive than annuals, a perennial garden is a great investment for a gardener.

Not only do perennial plants come back each year, but these types of blooms are some of the most vibrant plants during the season. Perennial flowers offer a vast selection of color, a diversity of size, texture, and over all attractiveness in any landscape setting.

During Perennial Gardening Month in June, garden nursery managers are encouraged to carry the following perennial plants this season for homeowners:

    • Virginia Bluebells
    • Viola
    • Peonies
    • Iris
    • Baptisia
    • Geraniums
    • Coreopsis
    • Blanket Flower
    • Veronica
    • Perennial Sage
    • Aster
    • Daffodils
    • Black-Eyed Susan
    • Hibiscus

nelly-briggs.jpgDeer, rabbits and small rodents can be a nuisance in the garden; and if given the chance, these wildlife species will cause crop damage in vegetable gardens and destroy flowerbeds. For this reason, homeowners are advised to plant thorny shrubs, such as a rose thorn bush, in the yard to keep away deer from gardens. Flowering perennials, such as Daffodils, are not a deer's favorite appetizer either. Deer-resistant plants can be grown around vegetables or fruits as a protective barrier, too.

Just as deer like entering onto home gardens, they will also travel to garden centers, if garden protection is not applied to protect flowers. TridentCorp encourages garden nursery owners to protect perennial flowers for sale by installing deer fences along the property.

Celebrate the joy of perennial flowers with Trident Enterprises this June during Perennial Month!
